Blick am Abend chalked up the biggest growth in readership, as expected. The publication increased its readership again by 31,000 to a current total of 635,000 after successfully enlarging its distribution area to the five metropolitan regions of Basel, Bern, Lucerne, St. Gallen, and Zurich and optimising products and sales in various ways.
Blick remains on track for success. With its current readership of 622,000 it is by far the most widely read paid newspaper in Switzerland. Although SonntagsBlick reported 48,000 fewer readers in the economically difficult period under review, its current readership of 825,000 still makes it the most widely read Sunday publication in Switzerland in the hotly contested Sunday market. Together with SonntagsBlick magazin, it even reaches 1,002,000 readers, not counting overlaps.
blick.ch has maintained its Number One spot amongst the news portals. In July 2011 the platform had 28.6 million visits, which generated about 357 million page impressions.
