The watch making industry is not only an important economic factor, it is also part of the cultural heritage of Switzerland, combining technology, innovation, emotions, and passion.
Montres Passion is published in French (circulation 90,000) and German (circulation 100,000). It is the largest and oldest watch magazine in Switzerland.
Its mission is to promote the art of watch and jewelry making and it sees itself as a reflection of the creativity and know-how of this industry and this ever-evolving cultural treasure.
The spirit of the magazine is summed up in the two words of its title: "Montres" (watches) and "Passion". "It is our goal to put watches at the center of our work. The watch and what it signifies and embodies as a creation, a symbol for all who envision, create, invent, design, and produce watches, but also for all those who sell, buy, admire, or collect watches. The second word, the other component, is passion. Our intent is to focus our journalistic endeavors on the human aspect, on creative genius, to bring strengths and weaknesses to light, share our enthusiasm, our wants and needs, and to tell stories. We are adding two more words to those of the title: curiosity and independence.
We believe that the effects of a magazine such as Montres Passion are generated by the natural curiosity and independence of those who produce it. This publication is the response to the curiosity and independence of its readers, but also those who make and sell watches and jewelry, the men and women who are just as curious, independent, inventive, and passionate. We believe that a curious mind has a need to understand, to experience, to analyze, to explain - but above all - to share..."
This is the reason why Montres Passion has dedicated every issue since 2006 to a particular topic, four times a year, and with a new special section on jewelry. It begins with the introduction and continues like a thread through all articles, portraits, interviews, reports, and columns of the magazine.
